A Winnipeg police officer and his son took to the barber chair Saturday, to raise funds for cancer, something they both know all too well.
Const. Christien Davidson and his 14-year-old son, Kyle, both got buzz cuts at the annual Cops for Cancer Head Shave.
Kyle has been cancer-free since 2007. His father says this event means a lot to both of them.
The Davidsons were part of 30 people who got their heads shaved.
Police tweeted that 21 officers were clipped at the event.

Everyone from police, staff members, retired members, spouses and children, were invited to lose their locks and help raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division.

Davidson said they even had one woman shave her head completely to make a wig.
Over the last ten years, the event has raised more than $400,000, becoming a significant fundraiser for the Cancer Society.
This year, police said they raised over $11,000, and they expect more to roll in.
All money raised remains in Manitoba.
