Winnipeg police seized several guns, a range of drugs and laid charges against 57 members and associates of the Manitoba Warriors as part of Project Falling Star, launched in April 2013.
“The Manitoba Warriors have been known to promote illicit drug sales and commit numerous acts of violence that (are) linked to the territorial disputes related to drug distribution networks,” said police in a release.
Following the lengthy investigation, police began making arrests on Jan. 16. Suspects ranging in age from 16 to 51 face charges. Officers seized a number of shotguns, along with crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine.
Warrants have also been issued for Monica Maria Thomas, 34, and Connor Todd Sech, 19, said police.
