Provincial officials said a partial ring dike closure will likely occur Tuesday on the north side of Morris on Tuesday.
Officials said the move would be a precautionary step because high winds are expected to push water toward the dikes and Highway 75.
Other partial ring-dike closures are completed or underway at Noyes, St. Jean Baptiste, Gretna, St. Adolphe and Ste. Agathe.
A bridge along PR 246 to St. Jean Baptiste has also been closed.
PTH 75 is also being assessed and the road could be potentially closed on Tuesday at Morris, said provincial officials. Residents expressed concerns about the problems of the road regularly closing because of flooding.
The province said it is working to address the issue.
Premier Greg Selinger said an engineering study is underway and should be done within a year.
"So, one of the options being looked at is if (there are) any diversion possibilities for the Morris River and that's an engineering solution that would cost tens of millions of dollars to solve that problem," said Selinger.
