Occupy Winnipeg cleaned up camp Saturday.

"We had a lot of unoccupied tents, people that came when it was warm and left when it was cold," explained Shawn Lanting, an Occupy Winnipeg protester. "And we have garbage around the camp, so we came in today to clean everything up and just leave a couple structures that are safe for the winter time."

Occupiers said leftover clothing and food is being donated to local churches and the garbage is being brought to the dump.

About four protesters are still spending the night at the site. The plan is to have two or three safe, warm and fireproof structures up during the winter, to be occupied by anyone who wants to stay the night.
