Winnipeg police have laid charges against a Winnipeg man after a car lot was broken into and a number of car parts were sawed off of the vehicles.
Around 10 a.m. Saturday officers went to a business in the 1000 block of Logan Avenue about a possible theft.
Police said between Saturday July 14 and Saturday, July 21 someone broke into a fenced compound and used a reciprocating saw to remove catalytic converters from vehicles.
The suspect then fled the scene on a scooter.
Around 1:30 p.m. police arrested 43-year-old Shane Charles Corlett at Sargent Avenue and Maryland Street. Police said Corlett was driving a dark-coloured scooter at the time.
Corlett faces multiple charges including break and enter and personation with intent.
