Police have three suspects in custody after an early morning home invasion.
It happened on Saturday morning at 2:00 am. Three males forced their way into a residence in the 200 block of Harper Avenue.
The suspects found four people in the home at the time, and demanded property from within the residence.
The victims were then assaulted by the males who began busting up the place.
The victims sustained a variety of upper and lower body injuries. Two of the victims required medical attention at hospital.
In the end the men made off with electronics, cigarettes, and liquor.
Later that same morning, just six hours after the incident, East District officers located two of the suspects in a vehicle in the area of Fermor Avenue and St. Anne's Road.
The investigation continued involving East District Detectives and the Organized Crime Unit.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service executed a warrant at a residence in the 800 block of St. Mary's Road. As a result, the third suspect was located and arrested.
The victim's property was recovered during the search.
Also located within the residence was a quantity of powder cocaine including drug paraphernalia and cash.
Charged are 28-year-old Edward Morris Buckels, 23-year-old Brendan Buckels, and 28-year-old Ronald Derendorf.
The charges they face rage from multiple counts of robbery to assault and possession of drugs.
They have been detained in custody.
