The two construction workers who were first on scene to help rescue teen assault victim, 16-year-old Rinelle Harper, were reunited for the first time Monday morning.

Although the two men work on the same building project, Ed Mehanovic and Sean Vincent, work for separate contractors.

They didn’t even know each other before coming to Harper’s side to comfort her and tell her help was on the way just before 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014.

Up until today, the two men hadn’t seen each other since that morning.

In separate interviews on Friday, the men shared their stories with CTV News.

After a brief chat discussing how they were able to help Rinelle, both men had to go back to work.

Mehanovic and Vincent said they’re happy to hear Rinelle has been discharged from hospital and wish her well as she continues to recover.
