The last weekend of 2012 will be a snowy one in Winnipeg, with flurries expected on Saturday and Sunday.

Environment Canada has forecast a high of -17 C for Saturday with a 40 per cent chance of flurries in the afternoon.

Those are expected to taper off in the early evening and be replaced with cloudy skies. Sunday is expected to start off with snow as well, with periods of light snow forecast. Things should warm up substantially though, with a high of -11 C forecast. That brings things just above the seasonal norm of -13 C.

The rest of the week should be mainly sunny with the exception of Tuesday, where the city will likely see more of the white stuff.
