The University of Winnipeg officially opened their brand new athletic complex Tuesday morning.

The United Health and Recplex is a sports and wellness complex that cost $40-million and took nearly two years to build.

It includes an artificial turf field, a community gym, a dance/yoga studio, food and beverage kiosks and an underground parkade.

The province contributed $15-million to the project and the city of Winnipeg chipped in an additional $2-million.
