The search for a missing Kenora teenager now includes help from the Ontario Provincial Police’s underwater search and recovery unit.
Delaine Copenace, 16, was reported missing on Feb. 28.
Police say residents could see police activity in lakes and water bodies in and around Kenora over the next few days.
OPP say the search has expanded to the area surrounding Kenora, with the help of multiple police, search and rescue, child welfare organizations, and volunteers.
As milder weather arrives and snow and ice begins to melt, police ask people to search their properties for anything unusual.
Anyone with information can call the OPP at 807-548-5534 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
