The mosquito situation in Winnipeg has changed and the city says it's going to begin fogging.

Last month, the city said trap counts in many areas weren't relatively low and there weren't enough of the pests to warrant residential fogging.

It's a different story now -- the city says its combination of larviciding and residual treatments to control mosquitoes are no longer sufficient.

It says fogging will start Saturday night and will continue nightly.
