Joey “Jaws” Chestnut’s chompers will be on display next month in Winnipeg.

The world’s top-ranked eater will be in the city August 7 to defend his Fish Taco World Record of 23 fish tacos in five minutes.

It’s part of a Joey’s Restaurants halftime promotion at the Winnnipeg Blue Bombers game against Saskatchewan at Investors Group Field.

Chestnut’s record was set at last year’s Fish Taco World Record Challenge, where he faced off against two teams of four fans from Team Joey’s Saskatchewan and Team Joey’s Calgary.

The competition will return to Canada at the Fish Taco World Record Challenge II, where Chestnut will face off against Team Joey’s Winnipeg and Team Joey’s Saskatchewan.

In total, nine competitors, including Chestnut, will have a chance to win the Fish Taco World Record.

Chestnut most recently won Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest in New York for the eighth time by inhaling 61 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

People who want to compete against Chestnut can sign up for the chance to take on the world record holder on the Joey’s website.
