Winnipeg Jet Evander Kane will host the launch of the EA Sports NHL 13 video game Monday night. The event will take place at EB Games at Crossroad Station with autographs and an opportunity to meet Kane occurring from 9:30 until 11:30 p.m.
The video game will officially launch and be available at midnight.
Kane had the honour of being one of 60 NHL players selected to compete for the cover of the video game. More than 26 million people voted at NHL.com. In the end, Philadelphia Flyer Claude Giroux earned the most votes and the coveted cover.
Hayley Wickenheiser made EA Sports headlines and history earlier this year when, after 21 years of game production, she was announced as the first playable female pro hockey player.
