A quantity of medication was stolen from a south Winnipeg veterinary clinic.

Winnipeg police said the medication, used to treat animals, was stolen between July 13 and 21.

Five 10 millilitre bottles of Ketamine were stolen.

Ketamine is primarily used as an animal tranquilizer.

Police said taking large quantities of these medications alone, or in a combination with drugs or alcohol, could be dangerous or even fatal.
