Winnipeg Police Service responded to reports of an injured man around 8:15 p.m. Saturday night in the Redwood Avenue and Parr Street area.
Police said the man, who is in his 30s, has injuries consistent with a gunshot wound to his lower body.
Police said they believe the incident did not occur in that area.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Police said they believe the incident was not random.
