Wednesday was a celebration of all things feline. In addition to it being World Cat Day, a curious cat celebrated his return home to Victoria, B.C. after travelling to Winnipeg in a moving truck.
The Gunderson family moved to Winnipeg last week from British Columbia. The driver of their moving truck found the stowaway cat, Bandit in the compartment underneath the trailer.
The cat survived the three day journey with no food or water.
Kari-Ann Gunderson contacted the Winnipeg Humane Society and was connected with Bandit’s owner, Claudia Allen. Allen posted bandit's story on the internet via social media.
Instead of a moving truck, Bandit traveled by air back to Victoria. Reports say that, other than a few jitters, bandit seemed pretty content to be going home.
