A woman from Long Plain, Man. has been arrested in connection with the murder of 51-year-old John David Goundry.
The 51-year-old man was found dead inside his apartment suite in the 400 block of Elgin Avenue in Winnipeg on April 1, 2014.
Homicide investigators and members of the forensics services unit had been working the case and on Thursday, May 15, 2014, arrested 56-year-old Valerie Arlene Assiniboine.
The investigation revealed the victim and suspect had been involved in a verbal argument.
Police allege the argument escalated and the victim was stabbed in the upper body with a knife.
Assiniboine has been charged with second-degree murder, said police.
The charges have not been proven in court.
