A woman is dead following a crash Tuesday evening on Highway 7.

It happened at about 5:30 p.m., not far from Stonewall, about three kilometres north of the junction with Highway 67.

RCMP said the woman was driving north in a pick-up truck with a male passenger when the truck veered into the southbound line, colliding head-on with a semi.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, while her passenger was taken to hospital. RCMP couldn’t say how badly he was hurt.

The driver of the semi wasn’t injured.

RCMP said investigators don’t believe alcohol played a role in the crash, and they continue to investigate.
