WINNIPEG - As they try to rescue what's left of the 2012 season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed import defensive lineman Andre Caroll to their roster.

Caroll was a late training camp cut by the Bombers and registered two tackles and one sack during the pre-season.

He also attended training camp last year before being released and attending training camp with the Cleveland Browns.

As a senior at Delaware State, the six-two, 300-pound lineman set a record for single-season tackles by a down lineman with 96, the fifth highest in the conference.

The Bombers (2-9) have also placed import defensive tackle Brandon Collier on the nine-game injured list.
