Everspring Farms Ltd. is voluntarily recalling the Salba brand Chia Seeds – Premium Ground due to a possible salmonella contamination.
An initial food recall warning was issued on November 16.
Health Canada says it has been updated to include additional product information uncovered during the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's food safety investigation.
Health Canada warns food contaminated with salmonella does not look or smell spoiled but can still make one sick.
Health Canada says there have been no reported illnesses due to the consumption of this product.
