Bruce MacCutcheon couldn't understand why his doorbell never rang when his FedEx package arrived on his doorstep. He also wondered what had happened to the box.

"Everything was all soaking wet," said MacCutcheon.

So he went inside, and checked his security camera video. On it, he could clearly see a FedEx driver run across the street with his package in hand.

Then the package unexpectedly becomes an air mail delivery.

"I just saw him launching this parcel, which goes out of camera view," said MacCutcheon. "And then came back in, and hit my front lawn."

The delivery person missed the front porch, but he hit the mark on his second attempt, tossing it underhanded.

"And I thought, 'Geeze, he did it once and then he did it again," said MacCutcheon. "It's nothing that I would expect from a FedEx driver."

FedEx said it expects more from its drivers too. A spokesperson tells CTV News he was appalled at the video.  In a statement, FedEx writes:

"The behavior depicted in the video is unacceptable and inconsistent with the professionalism FedEx ground demonstrates every day in safely and securely delivering millions of packages to our customers. We are committed to treating our customers packages with the utmost care and offer our sincerest apologies to the customer. Rest assured, we are taking the appropriate action to address this situation."

The items MacCutcheon ordered weren't damaged despite the delivery.
