A former Winnipeg police officer and former employee of Child and Family Services has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and sexual exploitation.

47-year-old Kenneth Jack Anderson was arrested by RCMP members in July.

Anderson now lives in Balmoral, Manitoba.

RCMP say the arrest came after an investigation into cases involving two 11-year-old boys in rural Manitoba dating back to 2006.

Charges were officially laid Tuesday, but no other details were released.

Police say Anderson worked for CFS as early as the spring of 2008.

Anderson has been released under the condition he does not contact the victims or communicate with anyone under age 18.
