Two beaches in Manitoba are getting rave reviews for their high water quality and environmental management.
The main beach at Winnipeg Beach Provincial Park and the West Beach at Grand Beach Provincial Park have been given Blue Flag status.
The Blue Flag program examines dozens of criteria and is endorsed by the United Nations.
Another 22 beaches and marinas in Canada have also been given the designation.
