Mayor Brian Bowman is not a betting man when it comes to the Winnipeg Jets, at least not yet.
Bowman said he does not want to place a friendly wager on the first round of the playoffs with Anaheim's mayor, out of fears of jinxing the Jets.
He said he'll consider betting on the Jets if they make the Stanley Cup Final because that is the ultimate goal.
Ottawa's mayor has issued a wager with his Montreal counterpart as those two cities meet in the first round.
The Jets start their series against the Anaheim Ducks Thursday in California.
