A fire in a North End apartment block Wednesday shut down two city blocks.
The blaze started on the main floor of a building at Redwood Avenue and Andrews Street Wednesday evening.
All tenants escaped safely, though two were taken to hospital, and many received medical treatment on scene.
Emergency crews closed Redwood from McGregor Street to Powers Street, to make it easier for firefighters.
Winnipeg Transit also re-routed its buses.
The fire caused $135,000 in damage.
Police said the fire is considered suspicious in nature.
