Officers have made arrests in a home invasion in rural Manitoba that sent a senior citizen to hospital with injuries.
On Oct. 27, Russell and Rossburn RCMP responded to a home invasion at a rural home north of Rossburn, Man.
A 78-year-old man had been tied up and assaulted.
Robert Ashley Ward, 42, of Minnedosa was arrested on Oct. 30 following tips from the public. Fabian Lucas Pendl, 21, was arrested near Strathclair on Oct. 31.
"We would like to thank the public for their continued assistance in order to hold criminals responsible for their actions." said Sgt. Bert Paquet of RCMP. "As it was the case here, residents of our communities play a key role in our crime reduction efforts and we always welcome their help."
Police said a Canada-wide warrant was also issued for Julian James Johnston, 41, of the RM of Yellowhead. He was arrested Nov. 2 near Shoal Lake, Man.
