Winnipeg police have arrested a man in connection to a string of armed robberies in Fort Richmond.

Officers say they responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 200 block of Dalhousie Drive around 1:45 p.m. Monday.

Police said a man armed with a knife robbed the business and fled. No one was injured during the incident.

Shortly after, police arrested 19-year-old Michael Ryan Harper of Winnipeg in a nearby home. Officers said further investigation revealed Harper was involved with previous robberies in the same location on March 22 and March 24.

Harper has been charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of wearing a disguise and three counts of possessing a weapon.

He remains in police custody.
