A young woman was attacked with bear spray near St. Vital mall Wednesday night.

According to Winnipeg police, the 19-year-old was walking to her vehicle in the 1200 block of St Mary's Road around 9:30 p.m. Dec. 18, 2013.

An unknown female armed with bear spray confronted her and demanded her car keys.

The 19-year-old refused and the assailant unleashed the bear spray on her.

The suspect then fled with three others who were standing nearby.

The victim did not require medical attention.

The East District Crime Unit is now looking for two females and two males.

The suspect armed with bear spray is described as 17 to 20-years-old, about five feet two inches tall, with a slim build and blonde hair.

She was wearing a hip-length jacket with a fur trimmed hood.
