RCMP said a member of CFB Shilo faces a range of charges after officers in Brandon received a complaint on Sept. 10 that a man had solicited a female through a dating website to participate in acts of bestiality.
Following an investigation aided by the Canadian Forces military police, a search was carried out at the suspect’s house near Brandon and computers were seized on Sept. 28.
RCMP said a 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with bestiality and procuring and circulating obscene matter.
He has been released on strict conditions, pending a later court appearance, said police.
RCMP said the suspect’s name would not be released to protect his family and the victim.
