Taxes going up for Pembina Trails homeowners

Homeowners in the Pembina Trails School Division should expect to pay more in school taxes, roughly $63 dollars more for the average homeowner.

The draft budget for the upcoming school year is about $8.5million more than this year.

The division says the increase will go towards renovating schools in the division, as well as furnishing and equipment for the newest school in South Pointe.
