With less than a month until the hockey season begins for the Winnipeg Jets, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra was busy at the Centennial Concert Hall recording a top-secret soundtrack to help kick off the season.
The soundtrack will accompany a video, and it's all being kept under tight wraps until the Winnipeg Jets season opens.
Composer Shawn Pierce says the music is broken into three parts.
"The first part is nostalgia. It's the history of hockey in this province, in this city. We focus on that, then we move into our team, we move into the new Jets, then we move into getting us psyched up and ready for the game," said Pierce.
The video and soundtrack will make its public debut at the season's opening game.
That takes place at the MTS Centre on Thursday, Oct. 13.
