Four people have been charged in connection with a triple shooting at a weekend house party in Elmwood.
Officials were called to the 400 block of Martin Avenue West around midnight on Saturday after reports of shots being fired.
Police say a 16-year old boy and 17-year old boy who were at the house party become involved in an argument with other people in the home.
Anita Reynolds who is the sister of 18-year old victim Matthew Reynolds said she believes it was her brother who asked the two boys to leave.
The two teens allegedly returned 20 minutes later with a firearm and two other males.
Numerous shots were fired into the party hitting Reynolds and 18-year old Tyler (T.J.) Hawula as well as an unidentified 17-year old.
"They went in the kitchen looked at my brother, said something rude and then shot him twice in the chest," said Anita Reynolds.
The victims were rushed to hospital where the two 18-year olds were pronounced dead.
The third victim is in hospital and listed in stable condition. Witnesses say the 17-year old was shot after jumping out in front to protect the mother of one of the victims.
"He jumped in front of T.J's mom to save her life," said friend Joshua Kipling.
"Take the bullet, that's what you call a man," he said.
One 17-year old and two 16-year old boys as well as 18-year old Cody Donald Delorme have been charged with two counts of second degree murder and attempted murder.
The suspects have been detained in custody.
