The biggest Blue Bombers social of the year was underway Friday in Vancouver as Touchdown Manitoba hosted a shindig two days before the Grey Cup game.

"Everyone comes out they get in the spirit they get in the mood and then everyone goes off and they enjoy the rest of the party so this is truly the unofficial kick off to Grey Cup," said Colinne Dowbyhuz, Touchdown Manitoba organizer.

Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger made the trip, among more than 2,000 people celebrating the Bombers' first trip to the Grey Cup in four years.

Selinger and B.C. Premier Christy Clark are working on a bet over who will win the game.

"We'd like to see, for example, that we light up the legislatures with each others (team) colours. They've got other ideas about singing songs. We'll work out something that we're both happy with," said Selinger.

"They're calling us the underdog and that's just fine. Anything happens in the CFL and that's been proven time and time and Bombers are coming to play," said Bombers fan Ken Burns.

The Bombers and Lions hit the field on Sunday for the Grey Cup game.
