Students at Mary Duncan School in The Pas won't be in class Monday. The building is closed after fire.
The blaze caused extensive damage early Sunday morning, RCMP said.
The fire started around 2 a.m. Emergency responders arriving on scene could see smoke inside.
Firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the fire.
No one was injured in the fire. Police don’t consider the fire suspicious, although investigators are still looking into it.
School staff will be contacting parents with alternative arrangements for class once plans are finalized.
