Community runs in support of inner-city youth

Winnipeggers geared up for the fifth annual 5ish Fun Run to support the West Broadway Youth Outreach.

The run kicked off at Mulvey School, on the corner of Maryland and Wolseley, at 10 a.m. on Sunday and will continue along the classic Wolseley/Wellington loop for a distance of five kilometers.

Dozens of WBYO kids from the organization’s run club have trained for the annual event and are running alongside members of the community and volunteers.

Money raised at the event will go to after school and summer recreational programs.

In the last four years, the 5ish Fun Run has raised over $90,000 to support the kids at WBYO.
