A 35-year-old Gretna man faces several additional charges of voyeurism and child pornography more than a year after his initial arrest.

On Thursday, Carman RCMP said the man was originally arrested and charged in May 2014 with seven counts of voyeurism and four counts of child pornography.

Those charges stemmed from an incident that Altona RCMP first released details about on May 30, 2014.

Officials said two girls had discovered a mobile device in a washroom at a home they were staying at in Moose Lake Provincial Park during the summer of 2012.

RCMP said after reviewing the device, pictures and video of the two girls, from the RM of Rhineland, were discovered.

A criminal investigation only started once the matter was reported in December 2013.

The suspect was arrested on May 21, 2014.

Police said the man was a pastor in Gretna, located just north of the U.S and Manitoba border.

Officials said he “took advantage of his role in the community to access potential victims.” The suspect is no longer in his position with the church.

In the same release, RCMP mentioned officers were aware of multiple victims and the investigation is ongoing.

Police said the suspect was scheduled to appear in Winnipeg court on Thursday.
