A heavy police presence in Transcona Thursday afternoon.
Around 4 p.m., officers with guns drawn descended on the area.
They blocked off Wayoata Street from Regent Avenue to Victoria Avenue East.
The tactical support team was on scene.
A Winnipeg Police Service duty inspector told CTV News officers executed a search warrant at a home on Victoria Avenue East.
They can’t yet reveal the nature of the warrant or what was found inside.
The matter remains under investigation.
