A Winnipeg restaurant that was the scene of a fatal shooting on Sept. 27 has reopened after being closed for over two weeks.

The Salisbury House on Pembina Highway and Stafford Street reopened Saturday morning.

The restaurant’s management said extensive renovations had to be done to the interior before the restaurant could reopen.

Management said they don’t expect business to drop, and the response from customers so far has been positive.

On Sept. 27 the business was shuttered after two men were gunned down inside. One man, 23-year-old Jeffrey Lau, was killed. The other man was badly wounded.

Police have said it was a targeted shooting and have not made any arrests in the case.
