Some evacuees from cottage country in eastern Manitoba can return as early as Tuesday.

Fire officials overseeing the battle against a wildfire near Caddy Lake in eastern Manitoba and Ontario invited those affected to a meeting in Falcon Lake on Sunday.

They said evacuation orders for the area around Caddy Lake, including West Hawk Lake and Ingolf, Ont. will be lifted at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17.
