Police are investigating after a body was discovered on the CN Rail train tracks near Rue La Flèche and La Verendrye Street in St. Boniface.
A crew member on an eastbound CN train spotted the body on the tracks beside the train shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Monday. It is not yet clear how the person died or whether it was a man or a woman.
A spokesperson for CN Rail said the company is working with Winnipeg Police Service to investigate the circumstances of the person’s death.
Police say they don't believe foul play was involved.
