Cooler conditions have been helping crews battling wildfires in Manitoba.

Manitoba Sustainable Development says a wildfire northeast of Caddy Lake on the Ontario boundary remained at approximately 58-hundred hectares yesterday and was more than 50 per cent contained.

The Beresford Lake fire remained about 75,000 hectares and was also close to 50 per cent contained.

Improved conditions have allowed provincial travel and burning permit restrictions in eastern Manitoba to be lifted, but municipalities may still have their own restrictions.
