The flooding caused by the weekend's rain storms posed problems for some emergency crews.

An ambulance got stuck in flood waters on Concordia Avenue on Saturday, near the Concordia Hospital.

Inside the ambulance was Margaret Simmonds, who was being rushed to hospital after suffering from heart problems.

Paramedics ended up having to transfer Simmonds out of the ambulance into another one.

Simmonds thanked paramedics for their hard work and their "great degree of decorum and humour."

She was later released from hospital after the incident on Saturday.
