The potential frontrunner to become Winnipeg's next mayor has now entered the race.
Judy Wasylycia-Leis signed her papers at city hall Monday afternoon.
Polls in the past have shown the left-wing candidate far ahead of her right-of-centre opponents.
But Wasylyicia-Leis cautioned that those polls are old and she calls the race competitive.
She will officially launch her campaign at an event Tuesday.
