A man is dead after a truck rolled over near the community of Grahamdale, about 200 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg in the Interlake.

Ashern RCMP responded to a call about a single truck rolled over about two kilometres south of Grahamdale around 10:30 a.m.

RCMP said the truck was traveling northbound with six occupants when it lost control and rolled, ejecting four people.

The man, a 30-year-old from Fairford, Man. was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other passengers were taken to hopsital.

STARS air ambulance transported one of those passengers to Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre. STARS said that patient required critical care by its medical crew.

The RCMP says all passengers remain in hospital in stable condition.

A police spokesperson said alcohol appears to have played a role in the crash. A traffic analyst and RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstruction are assisting the investigation.

Although police said they have identified the 25-year-old driver, charges haven’t been laid.

The investigation continues.
