With the fall sitting of the Manitoba legislature in limbo, the provincial conservatives say they will offer their own speech from the throne.

PC Leader Brian Pallister said, later this month, the opposition will table a document as an alternative to the throne speech.

The premier has not yet committed to a fall session as he fights to stay on as leader of his party.

On Monday, Greg Selinger was forced to shuffle his cabinet when five of his senior ministers resigned from cabinet after openly questioning his leadership.

The former ministers remain as MLAs in the NDP caucus.

A spokesperson for the NDP said a decision on a throne speech could be made this week, at some point after Selinger meets with his cabinet on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
