The report on Winnipeg’s first ever street census contains recommendations on how to help the city’s most at-risk.

The street census found the most common age for a person to become homeless is 18-years-old.

The survey discovered almost 50 per cent of participants had spent time in foster care or in group homes.

One of the recommendations to avoid homelessness is to extend the age limit on youth in Child and Family Services (CFS) care.

The Winnipeg street census made 14 recommendations in total. To see the entire report, head to streetcensuswpg.ca.
