It appears the Manitoba Conservatives are taking advantage of the recent Liberal slide, according to a new poll.

The research, done by Mainstreet and Postmedia, shows support for the provincial PCs continues to climb.

Support for the Conservatives increased by 15 points, with about 50 per cent of decided and leaning voters showing support.

The poll also showed the Liberals taking a tumble, falling seven points in the past week alone to 17 per cent support among decided and leaning voters.

NDP support remains fairly steady, with only a one per cent increase to 24 per cent.

Support for the Green Party of Manitoba also remains steady, gaining one point for a total of nine per cent support.

The Mainstreet/Postmedia Poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.28 per cent, 19 times out of 20.

Voters head to the polls on April 19.
