The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation held a grand opening for its new grocery store, pharmacy and medical clinic Tuesday.
The 5,000 square foot store, which is linked to the 2,500 square foot medical clinic, costs just over $2.7 million.
The clinic will have 14 staff, including four on-site doctors. The clinic will also be used as a medical training facility.
The location was chosen because it sits across the highway from the South Beach Casino.
The Brokenhead Grocery, Pharmacy & Medical Centre officially opened on February 9, 2016.
