Officers said two teenage suspects face multiple charges for incidents on Wednesday.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 29, two teenage suspects robbed a 30-year-old of cash in the area of Dufferin Avenue and Robinson Street, said police.
One of the suspects had a knife, but the victim was not injured.
About 45 minutes later, Winnipeg police cadets spotted a teen suspect harassing people near Portage Avenue and Donald Street.
Cadets tried to arrest the suspect under the intoxicated persons detention act, but he fought back.
The suspect gestured towards a knife he had concealed while “violently resisting the cadets,” said police.
The cadets weren’t injured and the suspect was taken into custody.
The 15-year-old male suspect faces multiple charges, including robbery with a weapon, causing a disturbance, assaulting a peace officer, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
A 14-year-old suspect was also arrested in the area of Carlton Street and Ellice Avenue. He faces charges for robbery with a weapon and three counts of failing to comply with a sentence.
