The Winnipeg Public Library now pedals books all over the city,
The WPL’s book bike brings the library to you. The one-of-a-kind cargo bike carries books and information about the library. It's also a place where you can get a library card, or renew your current card.
You can browse and borrow books from the bike or learn about the e-book options the library offers.
“The book bike is just the latest way we’re getting out into the community,” said WSL’s Danielle Pilon. “We’re always looking for new ways to reach the community. We go out to classrooms, literacy programs, public festivals. This way, it’s an efficient way to get wherever a bike can go."
The bike will travel around downtown Winnipeg during the summer and fall. To find it, follow the Winnipeg Library on Twitter or search for the #wpgbookbike.
